Youth Jam’11- Love Malaysia Public Speaking Competition

Georgetown, Penang, 13th May 2011(Friday) – Jazzada Solution), in collaboration with KDU College Penang, had just send a blast to the LOVE MALAYSIA PUBLIC SPEAKING CHALLENGE. There were participants from Heng Ee High School, Methodist Girls' School and Penang Free School.

It was really an intense yet fun-filled competition that the participants went through. The Youth Jam'11- Love Malaysia Public Speaking Challenge kick-started off with the Public Speaking Workshop where by Mr Katiegeyan from Bayan Baru Toastmasters shared on "Effective Public Speaking Techniques" and why it is important to have good communication skills especially for the younger generations nowadays.

The competition finally took place with the participants speaking on the topic "Towards a sustainable Penang : How can we achieve this goal?" Marina Tan,17, Methodist Girls' School brilliantly presented her ideas and views on the social-economics, environment as well as the government sectors involved with the growth and sustainability of Penang. With that, she walked away with the first prize of RM500 in cash. Followed by Ho Kah Fai,17, Penang Free School with second place, Teoh Shu Chyng,17, Heng Ee High School third and Lim Annette,15, Heng Ee High School consolation.

The next event would be the Youth Jam'11 - Cyber Crime Law Workshop, will be held on the 20th of May, 2011 (Friday), from 5.30pm to 7.00pm, at KDU College Penang. The Cyber Crime Workshop can help to expose young individuals to the threats online by equipping them with the knowledge of most of the social media platforms that they are engaging with nowadays. Everyone is welcome to participate in the workshop and there is no entry fee charged.
