Some habits are good to keep! KDU Nursing students achieve 100% passing rate again

KDU Nursing students took a candid shot with their lecturers upon completion of their final examinations..these students scored 100% passes recently in the Malaysian Nursing Board Registration Examination.
KDU College's School of Nursing and Allied Health added yet another achievement again when all its students from the July 2009 intake scored 100% passes in their Malaysian Nursing Board Registration Examination in June this year. This important achievement which qualifies a nursing student for the industry is a resounding success since 2010 when the first batch of its students graduated from the KDU nursing program.

These excellent results achieved were certainly nothing short of hard work by its lecturers who put in extra hours in giving revision classes and trainings to the students. For them, the lecturers' dedication proved to be a worthy effort with many students having received job offers from prestigious hospitals locally and abroad even before the completion of their examinations.

Beaming proudly was Ms Viviane Chin, Academic Department Head from School of Nursing & Allied Health who said, "Our students really prove their merit with their excellent result which also came from their holistic clinical practice experience at various government and private hospitals. This is unique to KDU as the students learn and train from the best industry establishments. With these good results, the students have the edge in employment opportunities."

Besides training attachments at reputable hospitals, KDU is constantly on the lookout for collaborations with hospitals which will benefit students' exposure to quality education and training. College principal Dr Chong Beng Keok was also full of praise for this recent achievement and reiterated that this repeated success would motivate KDU to continue offering affordable Nursing Diploma programmes to the public. Meantime, current nurses in the industry who are looking to upgrade themselves can now consider enrolling with KDU's Certificate in Post Basic Nursing (Oncology). From there, they will be trained for 6 months in various modules such as cancer biology, major cancers, care of cancer patients, oncology emergencies, nursing pharmacotherapeutic and clinical experience. The intake starts on 1st of August 2012.
