|George Town, 19 Jun 2018 – A team of five students pursuing the Diploma in Professional Chef Training at KDU Penang University College (KDU Penang) were shining in the 7th Thailand Ultimate Chefs Challenge, one of the nation’s largest chefs competition of the year held at Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre Bangkok, Thailand, on 29th May until 2nd June 2018.|
The team of KDU Penang had a proud moment in this international cooking competition by winning two bronze medals and five diploma awards.
“The students prepared a main course of hot cooked lamb and poultry, fried chicken and pork with an Asian touch.” said Chef Aravinthan from the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, KDU Penang, who trained the team for the competition.
“This type of international competitions will help students to brush up their cooking talents and prepare themselves for the real industry’s needs. We are always looking forward to this type of international cooking competitions to help students shine around the world,” said Chef Aravinthan.
“Now, I will prepare students to cook with different strategies and innovations for next year’s international cooking competition in Thailand,” said Chef Aravinthan.
The School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, KDU Penang, aims for more goal and silver medals next year as rewards for the students’ hard work.
