|George Town, 22 Jan 2018 - KDU Penang University College’s (KDU Penang) School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts (SHTCA) has made a memorable moment by winning 2 Silvers, 3 Bronze medals and 3 Diplomas at the “Food & Hotel Malaysia Salon Culinaire 2017” held from 26 - 29 September 2017 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.|
“Food & Hotel Malaysia Salon Culinaire 2017” was organised by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies in conjunction with Food Hotel Malaysia 2017 (FHM). Over 1,500 entries from more than 1,000 culinary professionals participated in this competition.
|“I’m very proud with these second semester students of Culinary Arts because, they managed to win in this competition event though they are still fresh in this field,” said Chef Chuah Lay Yen.|
|The participants from KDU Penang prepared main course dishes with seafood and chicken in this competition. The skilled chefs of KDU Penang, Chef Darren Tan and Chef Chuah Lay Yen, gave and taught cooking techniques for the students to shine in this competition.|
