|George Town, 23 January 2018 – Computer Science and Engineering students of KDU Penang University College recently had a ‘double bonus’ from Intel Penang: they benefited from a career talk and then secured jobs and internships at the global company.|
Eighteen students attended the career talk conducted by Intel Penang representative Mr Alex Goon Beng Tatt, who described the Intel work culture and supplied tips on how to do well in job interviews. He shared how Intel values good attitudes and character traits in employees, and will provide a superb platform for them to learn and relearn work techniques.
|Following the career talk, six senior staff members of Intel interviewed the students and four of them secured jobs at the multinational company. Intel also provided internship opportunities for students with a minimum of 3.0 CGPA from the School of Computer Science, Engineering, Finance and Mass Comm.|
The talk and interviews, held on 23 January, 2018, was organized by the Career and Placement Centre of KDU Penang. On top of ensuring top quality education, KDU Penang regularly invites large and established companies to hold talks on the campus and offer career opportunities to students.
