Famed for its 6-Star Hospitality and Chef training regimes, KDU Penang’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts becomes the 1st one in Penang to develop an in-house luncheonette as one of its esteemed training facilities on campus. 

Aptly called Bar 91 in recognition of its history as the pioneer hospitality and culinary arts school in Northern Malaysia, the Bar is modeled after an avant garde French café – bar with a modern twist. It is built adjoined to the main production kitchen area as an experiential training facility for its apprentice chef students who independently run a food service operation for their project module subject.

The Bar 91 takes after the theme of a snack bar and luncheonette where patrons sit on trendy stools at the bar tables, whilst food is served directly from the counter which adjoins to the main kitchen food production area. It serves reasonably priced breakfast and lunch time meals, and the menu covers international cuisine spanning from Europe, Americas and Asia.

It is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am to 2pm. So, come and grab a quickie brunch at Bar 91 at affordable prices.
