THE Star Education Fair 2013 entered its 26th year, the northern region’s biggest one-stop education extravaganza features some 90 exhibitors taking up 260 booths. Over 25,000 visitors, including school leavers and their family members, thronged the annual showcase to seek first hand information on the many renowned institutions’ varied programme offerings. These range from foundation and certificate courses to diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, twinning and distance learning programmes, catering to all study needs.

KDU’s expert lecturers were on hand to offer guidance on study pathways, career opportunities and help students realise their dreams.

IMI/ICI’s Executive Chef and Senior Lecturer, Chef Shaun Leonard demonstrated to an overwhelming crowd of visitors throughout the 2 days. Chef Shaun cooked up his Swiss Cheese Fondue, Chocolate Fountain with marshmallows and fruits, Swiss Barley Soup, Swiss Meat Stew, Rosti with Salmon and Carrot Cake for throngs of visitors. He also distributed Swiss Praline Chocolates and Gruyere-Emmanthaler Cheeses.

Chef Shaun also presented a talk that focuses on Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts “Careers in the International Scene of the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Industry – How to get there”.
