8 Dip-PCT students, supervised by Mr. Darren Tan, attended the Food Hygiene and Safety Seminar conducted by the Chef’s Association of Malaysia Penang Chapter and fully sponsored by the US Poultry & Egg Export Council. The speaker, Mr. Koh Geok Beng, presented on the topics of:

  1. Basic Bacteriology
  2. Food Poisoning & Food Borne Infections
  3. Food Storage & Handling
  4. Personal Hygiene, Cleaning & Disinfection
  5. Pest Control for Food Establishments

Students managed to socialize with hotel industry chefs, which will enhance their networking and enhance their knowledge.
