Venue: Management and Science University (MSU), Shah Alam
Held for the 2nd consecutive time, this competition drew participants from various colleges/universities and vocational institutions throughout Malaysia. Participants were required to prepare one (1) hot and one (1) cold drink using Nestle Milano Coffee.
Our International Hotel and Tourism Management student, Malathy, trained and supervised by Mr. Prakash, was placed 4th among 6 finalists. Malathy prepared ‘Mysore Almond Coffee’ and CinOrange (cinnamon and orange) Coffee for the preliminary round and Maharaja Spiced Indicapi and Delhi-style Cold Coffee during the final round.
According to our student, participating in this event proved to be a valuable learning experience and gave her the necessary exposure to compete in other international events in the future. She was thrilled to have had the opportunity to be involved in this event, as well as to meet many industry professionals from various hotels.
